Baidi City looks like an isolated island

After the Three Gorges Project carries out water storage at a water level
of 135 meters, the Baidi (White Emperor) City shows a view of an isolated
island. In 2006 when the Three Gorges Reservoir realizes water storage at
a 175-meter water level, the Baidi City will become a thoroughly isolated
island and the road linking the Baidi City and Fengjie County will be cut
off. In order to bring convenience to tourists visiting the Baidi City,
the local government is pushing forward to build a 380-meter long and
7-meter wide bridge with roof, which will connect the Baidi City and
Fengjie County.
